14 nights aboard the Prinsendam visiting Katakalon (Greece), Olympia (Greece), Epidaurus and Nauplion (Greece), Istanbul (Turkey), Sochi (Russia), Batumi (Georgia), Trabzon (Turkey), Sinop (Turkey), Sevastapol (Crimean Battlefields in the Ukraine), Kudasi and Ephesus (Turkey), Piraeus (Athens, Greece).
About the tour
Cruise from Rome To Katakolon in Greece and visit the ancient site of Olympia Continue along the Greek coast to the beautiful town of Nauplion and visit the vast amphitheatre of Epidaurus. Cruise onto the Gallipoli Peninsula, heading onto Istanbul through the Dardanelles, and visit the stunning Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia. Spend a day exploring Istanbul, including the Florence Nightingale Museum at the Scutari Barracks where she worked, Topkaki Palace, and the Grand Bazaar. Cruise north to the Black Sea and arrive at Sochi in Russia. Visit Stalin’s summer residence and the famous spa resorts, and enjoy a cocktail party in the evening. Continue onto Batumi in Georgia and bustling Trabzon in Turkey, where you will visit the Sumela Monastery clinging high to a rock wall. Onto Sinop in Turkey for a morning at leisure, and then head onto Sevastapol in the Ukraine for a full day tour of the battlefields of the Crimea with on-site commentary by a local expert, and visit Raglan’s Look Out of the ill-fated Charge of the Light Brigade. Arrive at Kudasi in Turkey and visit Ephesus with leisure time in the afternoon. Cruise to Piraeus (Athens) the next morning to disembark and join your flight to Heathrow.
