Experience the hospitality and dedication of the staff at the Jeevodaya Hospice in Chennai. Explore the vibrant markets and colourful temples in and around Mysore. Learn of the use of traditional therapies in Care of the Elderly and Palliative Care in Kerala. Cruise the backwaters of Kerala on a converted rice barge. The knowledge and passion of tour leader Gilly Burn, who lived and worked in South India, is an integral part of the tour.

Tour duration
3 nights Cochin, 1 night Trichur, 2 nights Calicut, 3 nights Mysore, 1 night Hosur, 3 nights Mahabalipuram.
About the tour
The tour starts in Cochin and visits an Ayurvedic Hospital and pharmacy. We explore historical Cochin, and cruise along the backwaters of Kerala. Travel to Calicut in beautiful Kerala and learn of the Malappuram Initiative and the work of Trichur Hospital. Explore gracious Mysore and enjoy the cultural treasures of the city. Drive to the Garden City of Bangalore and visit the Kidwai Cancer Hospital and the Bangalore Hospice. Visit CMC Vellore where you will learn of their community care outreach and education programmes, and the following day visit Jeevodaya Hospice and explore the rich culture of Chennai. Our final stop is ancient Mahabalipuram on the shores of the Indian Ocean.
