Your tour was excellent in all ways, the choice of hotels, tour guides and prompt airport pick up and transportation. Also the restaurants and food was excellent. I have to say we have never eaten so much whilst travelling. To tell you frankly we love to explore places on our own and have hardly taken tours. This tour was like a reunion with friends, recalled old memories of our college time and spent an enjoyable holiday together. Thank you very much for the detailed caring.

Local curators were super! I found each of the sites valuable – Royal Colleges of Surgeons and R. C. Physicians gets point across about physician/surgeon dichotomy: anatomy museums interesting – Surgeon’s Hall especially good presentation; important to understand original use of collections and current teaching use (if any).

All meals were good. Excellent wine! [Visits] ‘Excellent – all the libraries were very interesting and it was lovely to meet such well-informed and enthusiastic library specialists. Enjoyed learning more about restoration work at the Lisbon Archives (Torre de Tombe). Excellent tour, great group, lots of interesting information to absorb. It had made me aware of the history of Portugal which I had not previously known much about.
